Foothills Adult Sports is based in Rutherford County, NC and was created to help organize the community’s active adults of all ages and skill levels in Grass and Sand Volleyball. Our goal is to promote health, sportsmanship, and community support. Currently we have active groups playing now in Rutherfordton NC, Spartanburg SC, and the Hendersonville-Asheville NC area. This group is open to all adults from “Post High School” age to “Until” age.

Crestview Park, Rutherfordton NC
Just on the southside of downtown Rutherfordton off Hwy 221. It’s up a slight hill with a large green space for multiple courts. Facebook Group Page

What to expect when you show up for FoHi pickup?

Expect to be greeted!
Upon arrival our members will welcome you, introduce theirselves, and thank you for you coming out. Because you came, we all get to PLAY!

Everyone Gets to Play!
All Adults of any skill (“Just learning and want to be active again” to “A” level tournament players) are welcome to jump in. To keep it fun we will mix and match teams throughout the day to keep it competitive and fun!

Try and Learn or Help Teach
This is PICKUP, not leagues, and not a Tournament. The goal is for everyone to have fun, get exercise, to learn the game and hone their skills. We want everyone to keep coming out and having FUN!
How we began?
FootHills (FoHi) Adults Sports Club formed, solely, to spend less time traveling and more time playing. Starting in April 2024 our founder, residing in Rutherfordton NC, would travel to Asheville NC, Hickory NC, Charlotte NC, and Greenville, SC. Searching to find a welcoming and accepting group of Volleyball players to join and learn from in his efforts to get back in shape after years of inactivity. Joining multiple leagues and pickup groups in Asheville NC and Greenville SC, he decided to form adult……
….Pickup Volleyball groups locally, closer to his home and work place. With the help of the dedicated regulars and great people/players, the Club was formed. With goal of bringing like minded people together, learning and help others learn from great players, and building a sense of community, the FoHi Club has formed chapters in multiple towns and continues to grow. As the FootHills Adult Sports Club looks to the future, Tournaments, Leagues, and adding sports other than Volleyball are not too far away. Join us and help contribute to the Adult Sports niche in your community.
